The emergency services community and their many supporters have always been defined by its strength, solidarity, and unwavering dedication to helping those in need. Today, we are asking for that same sense of unity to assist in the search for one of our own.
Richard Mason, a former firefighter, has been reported missing. Richard, aged 55, was last seen in the Molescroft area around 9 a.m. on Monday, December 30th. Originally from Beverley, he has connections to Goole.
The Fire Brigade Union and local authorities are calling on the public for any information to help bring him home. Every small detail could make a difference.
Richard is described as approximately 6 feet tall with dark brown hair and a bushy beard. He may have been wearing blue jeans, a grey Superdry T-shirt, a brown coat, and possibly a woollen beanie hat.
This is an urgent appeal to anyone who might have seen Richard or knows anything about his whereabouts. If you have any information—no matter how insignificant it may seem—please get in touch with Humberside police via their non-emergency number, 101, quoting log 95 of December 30th.
As a former firefighter, Richard dedicated years of his life to protecting others, often putting himself in harm's way to save lives and property. Now, it's our turn to step up for him.
